Sautéed Asparagus and Tofu

This dish is prepared by using a healthy sauté cooking method; it gives great flavour without any heated oils.

Method

  • Slice the onions and chop the garlic and let both sit for at least 5 minutes which allows some important healthy compounds to form as well as the aroma.
  • Heat 1 tbsp broth in a 25-30 cm stainless steel skillet and sauté the onion over a medium high heat for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Add the garlic, ginger, asparagus, and peppers and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Add the tofu, soy sauce, and vinegar.
  • Turn heat to low and cover for about 2 minutes, or until vegetables are tender, yet still crisp.
  • Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
