Raw Vegan Wholefood Witches Fingers Recipe

Witches' fingers are a Halloween favourite. Try this whole food, raw vegan variant to limit the amount of processed food your little ones will be eating this scary season. Makes about 20 witches fingers.

You will need

For the fingers :
1 cup or about 150g organic pitted dates   483 More products
1/2 cup or about 75g whole almonds More products
1/2 cup or about 60g pecan nut halves More products
1/4 cup or about 20g desiccated coconut More products
a generous pinch of sea salt OR More products
Himalayan pink rock salt More products
For the nails :
20 blanched whole almonds OR More products
20 pieces of flaked almonds More products
To serve :
1/4 cup or about 30g raw cacao nibs, optional More products

Method

  • Place the dates, the nuts and the desiccated coconut in your food processor and process until the mixture starts sticking together. If your dates were very dry and the dough is not coming together, add a teaspoon of water.
  • Using your two hands, press and shape a tablespoon worth of dough into a finger shape. You can use your middle finger as a guide. Place the fingers on a tray or chopping board lined with baking parchment.
  • Now press the nails in place and serve on a bed of raw cacao nibs gravel if you wish.
