About Organic Spinach Scotland

With its delicate and tender texture spinach requires only the lightest of cooking, it steams easily and works especially well when raw in salads.

Calorie for calorie, leafy green vegetables like spinach with its delicate texture and jade green colour provide more nutrients than any other food. Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A, manganese, folate, magnesium, iron, vitamin C, vitamin B2, calcium, potassium, and vitamin B6. It is a very good source of dietary fibre, copper, protein, phosphorus, zinc and vitamin E. In addition, it is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, niacin and selenium.

Italian Vegetarian Cherry Tomato Spinach And Feta Frittata Recipe

Summary: Perfect breakfast or brunch food, frittatas are the Italian cousins of Spanish Tortillas. Basically an omelette filled with various ingredients, barely cooked on the hob, then put in the oven to set through. Frittatas are great hot or cold, for breakfast, brunch, lunch, snack or dinner, served with a fresh salad and a slice of sourdough bread. As a general guideline, stir fry some onions, add chopped vegetables, herbs, cheese. Add beaten eggs. Transfer to the oven to finish cooking. Variations are endless. This one combines red onion, chopped red chilli, cherry tomatoes, spinach and feta cheese.

Basic Raw Green Juice Recipe

Summary: This is a basic green juice recipe. Cucumber and celery have very mild flavours, and spinach is fairly mild too. The lemon and the ginger nicely round it off , and it has apples for sweetness. Feel free to add kale or any other greens you have on hand, like parsley and pea shoots, if you are feeling bold and adventurous. I always use organic fruits and vegetables when possible, so that I can use them whole, skins and cores. But if you use anything non organic, please make sure you wash it and peel it.
