Organic whole oat groats are packed with dietary fibre, including beta-glucans which support healthy digestion and cholesterol levels. They also provide complex carbohydrates, plant-based protein and vitamins and minerals such as manganese and magnesium, offering sustained energy and important nutrients for overall wellbeing.

Q: Do oat groats take longer to cook?
A: Yes - they typically take around 40-60 minutes to cook until tender due to their wholegrain form.

Q: Can oat groats be used for porridge?
A: Absolutely - simmer until soft and serve as a wholesome porridge topped with fruit, seeds or honey.

Q: Are oat groats suitable for a healthy diet?
A: Yes - they are high in fibre and nutrients, making them a great addition to balanced, nutritious meals.

Customer reviews

These organic oat groats cannot be bettered as a natural, unrefined food, full of flavour and healthy.
I soak in cold water during the day and cook the porridge overnight in the Aga.
With homemade yogurt and fresh fruit, the best breakfast ever.
I always buy in bulk and value for money is very good except for the multiple postage
charges.

Vegan Nut Roast With Caramelised Onion And Mushroom Gravy Recipe

Summary: Think nut roasts are boring ? Think again. This one is a rich, deliciously moist vegan nut roast for Christmas dinner. It has a base of red kidney beans, roasted peanuts and oat groats.
