Jasmine rice is a delicately-flavoured rice. It actually has nothing to do with the jasmine plant at all, but is from a rice species that has a slight fragrant aroma that works well with Thai food. While cooking, this exotic rice fills your kitchen with a delicate scent. The grains cook up moist and tender with a soft texture and delicious flavour. Jasmine rice is very versatile - use it as a side dish or in pilafs and desserts.
