About Organic Pitted Dates

Pitted dates are fleshy, moist and loaded with a rich sweet flavour. Their pleasant taste and distinctive chewy texture makes it a versatile fruit that can be added to a variety of sweet and savoury dishes like cakes, breads, puddings and other desert dishes.

Pitted dates have the highest polyphenol concentration among the various dried fruits and should be made to play an important part in our daily diet. The phenol antioxidants and nutrients, mainly fibre that you get from one serving will give you a high energy boost. Pitted dates are considered a natural energy booster so snack away!

It is one the oldest food producing plants in the world that was cultivated way back in 3,500 B.C in the areas of the Persian Gulf and the Nile Valley of Egypt. The date palm was introduced to the western world by the early Spanish missionaries. Dates are preserved by drying and pressing into cakes. It is believed that many centuries ago Arabian caravans ate dried dates as their main food when they travelled on long journeys across the desert. Fresh dates stay well under refrigeration so they can be stocked and eaten throughout the year.

Raw Vegan Tropical Mango And Passion Fruit Cheesecake Recipe

Summary: Raw Cheesecakes are perhaps the most popular Raw Vegan desserts, and with reason. They are amazingly delicious, really easy to make, and they are so much better for you than a traditional cheesecake. This Raw Vegan Mango And Passion Fruit Cheesecake is no exception : the mango flavoured crust is chewy yet crunchy, the mango cream is delicious and velvety smooth, and the passion fruit topping is tangy and adds a great crush when you bite into the seeds.

Sublime Faux Gras : a Vegetarian Alternative to Foie Gras Recipe

Summary: Who knew that a mixture of onion, mushrooms, green lentils, nuts, beetroot, fresh herbs and lemon juice could produce such an incredibly delicious and realistic alternative to one of the most controversial yet popular French delicacies, Foie Gras ? Enter Faux Gras. This Mushroom and Lentil pâté tastes very much like real Foie Gras, but is brimming with plant-based nutrition, and more importantly, comes without the unkind treatment to ducks and geese. But this Faux Gras is not just a vegan alternative to Foie Gras, it is also an exceptionally tasty vegan spread in its own right : it is hands down the best pâté, veggie or otherwise, that I have ever tasted. Don't be put off by the fairly long list of ingredients, the recipe is actually really easy and straightforward.
