Celery is a rich source of vitamin C, phalides and coumarins. These are the important active ingredients for celery. Because of these ingredients, celery can offer us multiple unique health benefits. It also contains a variety of various minerals and nutrients such as tryptophan, folate, dietary fibre, molybdenum, manganese, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, iron, and vitamins B6 (pyridoxine), B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin).

I drink green juice most mornings, and celery, along with cucumber and fennel make the bulk of it. So I am really happy that I can always find fresh organic celery at Real Foods. The price varies throughout the year - I like that Real Foods is seasonal in that way : when something is in season and therefore plentifully available, it is cheaper. Real Foods price is usually cheaper, though.
