About Organic Lemon

Perfect for drinks, garnishing and as a marinade. Lemons have a wide array of uses and are powerhouses when it comes to bringing out the flavour of other foods. Lemons are superb sources of vitamin C and contain many other antioxidant and antibiotic compounds (compounds that kill bacteria), hence their age-old use as a cure for sore throat. I bought these because I was on a cleanse and was told to make VERY sure I got organic and unwaxed. Very fresh and firm, lasted well.

If anyone needs an excuse to buy a few lemons then the asparagus and lemon risotto recipe above is fantastic. I've been buying my lemons here for a while and the quality is always first class.

I love lemons, they're essential for perking up salad dressings anyway but I LOVE these ones, because they're organic, which means I can actually use them for lemon zest!

Vegan Nutrient Rich Spirulina Fruit Smoothie Recipe

Summary: This is the easiest smoothie in the history of creation. Banana and spirulina. That's it. Adjust the quantity of spirulina to your taste and add some lime or lemon juice for a bit of a zing. Note that the banana to the left (or bottom) is not ripe. The spotted one to the right (top) will be ripe in a day or two. If you don't like bananas, use 1 avocado and a little water instead. Or an apple. Or peaches. Or your favourite fruit.
