About Organic Sweet Potato

Sweet potatoes have a creamy texture and a sweet-spicy flavour that makes them ideal for savoury dishes. There are two types, one with bright orange flesh, the other with pale cream flesh. Sweet potatoes are native to the tropical Americas and are sometimes referred to as 'yams' in the USA

Traditionally sweet potatoes have been baked, roasted or mashed, but they can also be added to risotto, pasta or curry.

Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of vitamin A. They are also a very good source of vitamin C and manganese. In addition, sweet potatoes are a good source of copper, dietary fibre, vitamin B6, potassium and iron.

Sweet potatoes make amazing wedges, about 45/50 minutes on the top shelf of the oven and you've a fairly healthy side dish, I've bought these a few times, always good quality, and they keep really well too.
