Homemade Raw Almond Milk Recipe From Real Foods

Almond milk is one of the tastiest and nutritionally rich non-diary milks. It is also very easy to make so why not try creating your own raw almond milk. You will need a muslin bag or a nut milk bag.

You will need

2 cups soaked almonds More products
4 cups water
Optional extras:
1 tsp vanilla bean extract More products
1 tsp ground cinnamon More products
3 pitted dates More products
2 tbsp honey More products
nut milk bag More products

  • Soak almonds in water for 8 hours in a non metallic container.
  • Drain almonds and blend with fresh water (and any optional ingredients) in a food processor until smooth.
  • Strain the milk through a muslin or nut milk bag into a glass container with a lid.
  • Almond milk will stay fresh in the fridge for about 3-4 days.
  • Top tip: use the almond pulp collected in the bag as a useful ingredient for raw breads and crackers or add to a curry or tagine.
