About Pitted Dates Free Flow

Are they good for you?

Free Flow dates, are unpressed dates, they contain a small amount of vegetable oil to help prevent clumping.
Very nutritious, dates are easy to add to your diet and have various health benefits. High in fibre, they can help to cure constipation. Full of antioxidants they may help promote good brain health and they have been known to aid natural labour.

What can they be used for?

Used in baking they can help to cut down refined sugars in recipes

  • Add to salads, cous cous dishes or curries
  • As dates are very high in sugar, they can easily be converted into sugar. To make date sugar, arrange sliced dates on a baking sheet and bake at 450° for 10 to 15 minutes, or until very dry and hard as rocks. Grind in a food processor to make sugar
  • Generally customers report these are being better for baking rather than snacking

    How do you store them?

    Store in an airtight container for 1 ? 3 months at room temperature or 6 ? 12 months in the fridge

    A serving size is 30g
