Mushroom Walnut Pate

Use as a starter or enjoy as a nibble, served on a cracker with a glass of wine. Wheat and gluten free. Vegan.

350g mushrooms sliced More products
1/2 medium onion, sliced More products
2 garlic cloves, crushed More products
100g firm tofu, mashed More products
50g walnuts, chopped More products
sea salt More products
ground black pepper More products

Method

  • Heat the water in a frying pan then cook the mushrooms, onion and garlic, simmer for 5 mins until soft.
  • Transfer the vegetables and tofu to a food processor or blender and process until smooth.
  • Add the walnuts, salt and pepper and blend for a further 5 mins.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and chill for at least 2 hrs before serving.
