Pinhead oats.
First discovered by me in Ireland . Its delicious cooked as you would porridge .
It’s fabulous steeped overnight in a little soya milk or regular milk and eaten as it is, with fruit or with a dollop of yoghurt.
It’s great to make flapjack with.

Sadly I seem to be getting a lot of grit in mine, big pieces too.  In a 25kg bag I'm expecting quite a few bowls to have grit which means I don't want the kids eating this now as its bad even for my teeth. Thought it was a one off but now felt the need to write a review.

I bake my own bread using wholemeal flour, yogurt and pinhead oatmeal. I find the price from Real Foods for the latter massively cheaper than my local health food shop and the service is excellent.

Pinhead oatmeal is the best type for making real porridge it takes longer but is worth the wait. I make enough for several days and heat in microwave.
