About Organic Cara Potato

The 'cara' potato is white with pink eyes which is why it is considered to be a very distinctive variety. Cara is known for its soft, moist and waxy characteristics. Excellent boiled or baked. Despite the potatoes popular reputation as a high-carbohydrate, white starch food, they are in fact an exceptionally healthful low calorie, high fibre food that offers protection against cardiovascular disease and cancer. Potatoes also contain a variety of phytonutrients that have antioxidant activity. They are also a good source of vitamin B6, copper, potassium and manganese.
