About Organic Fresh Medjoul Dates

Despite their sweetness, Medjoul dates only contain about 66 calories each. They are a good source of fibre and contain high levels of potassium, magnesium, copper and manganese. They do have a significant amount of fruit sugar, but this can make them a perfect alternative to other forms of dessert.

Medjoul dates can be added to cookies, muffins or tarts. Their sweet taste and texture aren't just suited to desserts, but can provide great contrast with savoury flavours. Cooks can stuff dates with cream cheese or nuts.

These are wonderful, soft and chewy! I use them in so many of my raw recipes, love their natural sweetness and great texture. Also perfect to snack on along with some pecans!

These are really god dates - never mind using them in baking, I eat them when I get a chocolate craving. They are very good in fruit cakes too though, if I am using dates I cut the sugar in the recipe by half.

Flourless Aduki Beans and Toasted Hazelnuts Brownies Recipe

Summary: Adzuki (or Aduki, or azuki, or English Red Mung) Beans are a very common ingredient in Asian desserts, Japanese in particular, where it is the main ingredient for anko, sweetened red bean paste. High in fibre and protein, Adzuki beans are also a good source of Folate, Potassium, Magnesium and B vitamins. And they happen to have a floury texture and naturally taste slightly sweet, making them a really good alternative to flour in these nutrition packed, delicious fudgy wholefood brownies.
