Mineral Rich Raw Vegan Green Sesame Seeds Smoothie Recipe

This raw vegan sesame seed green smoothie is delicious, creamy and highly nutritious ; thanks to the sesame and poppy seeds, it is high in protein and essential fats. It is rich in vitamins and minerals : Potassium, Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Vitamin C, Manganese, Copper, Folate, Selenium, B vitamins and vitamin K. Containing about 680 kcal, this smoothie is a great option if you are on the move and need a convenient, yet healthy and nutritious meal. It is also a tasty way of getting spinach and good fats into toddlers and older children.

4 Tbsp or 1/4 cup or 40g organic whole sesame seeds, soaked More products
1 Tbsp or 10g organic poppy seeds, soaked More products
3 ripe organic bananas, with brown spots More products
2 pitted organic Medjool dates, optional

1 cup or 1 large handful or about 30g fresh organic spinach leaves More products
1 Tbsp baobab powder More products
1 tsp spirulina More products
1/2 tsp camu camu More products
1 cup or 250ml pure water, plus more as required

Method

  • Presoak your seeds for at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight. Also pre-soak your dates if possible.
  • Blend all the ingredients together with a small amount of water until smooth, add more water and blend for 30 seconds, adjusting the water to obtain your preferred consistency.
