Raw Vegan Energy Boosting Chocolate Smoothie Recipe

A great energy boosting breakfast or post-workout smoothie, naturally sweetened with dates and banana. Use raw cacao nibs for a real raw cacao kick.

1 cup or 250ml hazelnut milk OR

Method

  • Start by making the hazelnut (or almond, or brazil nut) milk. Rinse and drain the nuts, place them in your blender with the water and blend until smooth. For a super smooth smoothie, strain the nut milk through a nut milk bag or a very fine sieve. Rinse the blender jug.
  • Alternatively, you can use store bought non-dairy milk, but home-made is tastier, cheaper, and additive-free.
  • Place your milk (home-made or store-bought) in the blender, along with all the other ingredients. Blend on high until smooth. Add a a little water (or extra milk) if needed, to get your desired consistency.
