You will need

500g frozen sweetcorn
1 red bell pepper, roughly chopped This item is only available in our high street shops. More products
1/2 cup or 75g golden flax seeds, freshly ground More products
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil More products
3 tbsp liquid aminos OR More products
3 tbsp tamari More products
pinch cayenne pepper More products
1 bunch fresh basil This item is only available in our high street shops. More products

Method

  • Blend all ingredients except the flax together.
  • Add the ground flax seeds and blend shortly, only just until well combined.
  • Spread the mixture thinly onto 2 dehydrator trays lined with silicone sheets.
  • Dehydrate for a couple of hours at 42C, then lightly score into tortilla-like triangles, using a blunt knife.
  • Continue dehydrating for about another 6 hours or until you can easily flip the trays over and peel the silicone sheets off.
  • Once flipped, return to the dehydrator to dry out for at least 6 hours, or until the chips are completely crisp.
  • The time it takes to get you chips crisp will depend on how thin you spread the mixture, and on the temperature and humidity conditions in your kitchen.
  • Serve with guacamole and store any leftovers in an air-tight jar in the fridge.
