2 tsp baking soda More products
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon More products

3 tbsp good quality vegetable oil More products
1 large free range egg white lightly beaten This item is only available in our high street shops. More products
1 Golden Delicious or similar apple
80g raisins More products
80g cranberries More products
100g chopped mixed nuts More products
2 tbsp coconut More products

Method

  • Preheat oven to 190 deg cel
  • Lightly grease a 9'' square baking tray.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda and cinnamon and stir to blend.
  • Add the buttermilk, oil and egg whites and beat until mixed.
  • Stir in the apple, dried fruit and nuts.
  • Spread evenly in the tin and top with the coconut.
  • Bake for 20-25 mins. Cool and cut into10 bars.
