A classic and indulgent vegetarian bean dip recipe with black beans and lots of cheddar cheese.

Method

Melt butter in a large pan over a medium heat; add onion and sautee for 5 minutes.
Add garlic and sautee for 5 more minutes or until the onion is tender.
Stir in the flour and stir until smooth; cook mixture, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
Gradually add milk, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Add the cheese, stirring constantly over low heat until the cheese melts.
Stir in black beans, green chilli, worcester sauce and chilli powder, gently stirring until mixture is thoroughly heated.
Serve warm with chips or crackers.
