You will need

1 large onion, chopped More products
1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley

225g mixed nuts, chopped More products
1 tsp tabasco sauce
1 tbsp tomato puree More products
175g fresh breadcrumbs
1 free range egg, beaten

  • Melt the butter in a pan, add the onion and parsley and fry gently until soft.
  • Sprinkle over the flour and cook stirring for 1-2 mins.
  • Gradually add the milk, little by little, stirring all the time.
  • Continue to cook until the sauce thickens.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Cool slightly.
  • Preheat the grill to high.
  • Divide the mixture into 8 portions and with floured hands form each portion into a ball, then flatten with the palm of your hand to form burgers.
  • Place under the grill and cook for 4 mins on each side
  • Serve hot.
