Vostizza Currants are some of the finest currants produced anywhere in the world. In exactly the same way as the great wines of France are produced in small areas where the soil and climatic conditions are favourable, so the Vostizza Currant benefits from its cultivation high in the hills surrounding the town of Aeghion. This outstanding fruit proudly bears the ancient name of that town, Vostizza, where it is exclusively produced.
Very rich in many phytonutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, essential fatty acids and minerals, such as Iron, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Manganese and Zinc they are power houses of nutrition.
What can they be used for?
Great for baking.

Or Gariboldi biscuits (we called them squashed fly biscuits but that didn?t stop us eating them!)
How do you store them?
Store in a tightly sealed, airtight container at room temperature for 6 - 12 months
What is a serving size?
Like all dried fruit best eaten in moderation - stick to what your recipe suggests, or just add a small handful to your yoghurt, cereal or ice cream.

These special currants are grown in the hills surrounding sunny Vostizza, Greece. Every 5 kilos of grapes are slowly dried alternatively in the sunshine and in the shadow to produce 1 kilo of these soft, chewy, great tasting Vostizza currants.
