About Organic Spring Greens Scotland
Spring Greens, grown in Scotland. This leafy vegetable is similar to kale and is considered to be closer to wild cabbage than most other domesticated forms. Grown primarily in northern Europe, where its tolerance of cold winters is valued for the early spring supply of nutritious edible leaves it brings. Spring greens are also packed with vitamins C, E and K, iron, potassium, fibre and calcium. One quick tip: don't discard the stems - just slice them more thinly than the green parts, they are actually sweeter than the leaf!
Spring Greens are delicious gently sautéed with garlic and soy sauce, making a sambal or use them to replace kale or spinach in a recipe.
