About Almond Extract

Steenbergs Almond Extract is a great tasting Natural Almond Extract, full of dreamy volatile bittersweet aromas. Steenbergs Almond Extract has no added sugar and is a traditional extract made with just water, alcohol and bitter almond oil. It is used to boost the almond flavour of cakes and desserts, often in conjunction with whole or ground sweet almonds. A half-teaspoon of extract is enough to add an almond flavour to most recipes. Try adding it to short bread cookies, breakfast scones, pound cake, and biscotti. A drop of almond extract in a batch of Saturday morning waffles is a beautiful thing!
