About Spanish Paprika

These authentic and fine paprika from Spain, known there as pimenton, are available in hot, sweet and smoked varieties. They add rich and flavourful undertones to countless dishes, and their vibrant red colouring is unmistakable. Paprika is exceptionally high in vitamin C. The colour of this product is deep red, redder than Hungarian Paprika. Used often in Cajun and Mexican dishes. Mix with bread crumbs and batter mixes for a red visual appearance. Sprinkle on dry as a garnish to cottage cheese, mashed potatoes, devilled eggs or mix in foods where a red-to-orange colour is desired. Adds a finishing touch to a variety of dishes - commonly called the "garnishing spice".

This paprika adds a lovely colour to cooking - it makes warming winter soups seem much more warming if you sprinkle some paprika on the top before serving.

Summary: Crispy outside and creamy inside, Polenta Chips are an interesting alternative to potato chips, and also a smart way to use leftover prepared polenta. You could also make cheesy polenta chips by adding 50g of grated cheese and a generous handful of chopped fresh herbs along with the butter.
