Whey Protein Breakfast Boost

Kick your day off to a great start with a homemade smoothie, that will give you slow release energy, keep hunger at bay and has excellent antioxidants and omega oils.

You will need

a large handful or about 100g fresh or frozen blueberries Available only in our Edinburgh shops More products
1 banana More products
2 tbsp whey protein powder

half a cup or 125ml semi skimmed milk

1 tbsp golden flaxseed OR More products
1 tbsp shelled hemp seed

1 tbsp bee pollen More products
a few ice cubes (optional)

  • Put the berries, banana, whey protein powder and milk in your blender and blend until smooth. Add the ice cubes if using and blend again.
  • Pour in a large glass and sprinkle with ground flax or hemp seeds and bee pollen before serving.
  • Eat and buzz with energy all morning.
