Hot and Spicy Pecans

Pecans are a great source of unsaturated fatty acids that will help to lower your cholesterol. Pecans are also a great source of protein and fibre.

You will need

3 tbsps butter, melted Available only in our Edinburgh shops More products
1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper More products
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce More products
1/4 tsp garlic powder More products
2 cups pecan halves More products
1-2 tbsp chilli powder More products

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees fahrenheit.
  • In a medium bowl, combine Worcestershire sauce, butter, cayenne pepper, salt and garlic powder and mix well.
  • Stir in the pecans and mix gently.
  • Then sprinkle the chilli powder over all and gently toss to coat.
  • Spread the coated pecans on a baking tray and bake for 25-30 mins stirring every 10 mins, until the pecans are toasted.
  • Store tightly covered in a cool place for 3-4 days.
