About Soya Drink no added sugar

Organic Japanese Soya Milk from Bonsoy. Created by Japanese soy masters using traditional recipes, they make this delicious soya milk from high quality, carefully selected organic soya beans. They beans are cooked and then finely ground with purified hot water in a patented process that has been perfected over centuries.

Bonsoy can be enjoyed hot or cold, it is perfect for cooking and baking and is a great dairy alternative. Popular for breakfast, try adding to your porridge or muesli in the morning for a nutrient rich, dairy-free start to the day.

Studies have shown that regular intake of soy can significantly lower your blood concentrations of triglyceride and low density lipoproteins (LDL) and raise the level of high density lipoproteins (HDL). This combined effect makes soy milk an ideal drink if you have high cholesterol, have a family history of coronary heart diseases or need to keep your cholesterol levels down.

Studies show that the omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids as well as the powerful phyto-antioxidants in soy can effectively protect your blood vessels, soy milk is naturally lower in sugar than cow's milk. Drinking soy milk also gives you an extra dose of fibre, keeping your feeling fuller for longer time, in addition, the monounsaturated fatty acid in soy milk can inhibit your intestinal absorption of fat, which is a great advantage if you are trying to cut calories or lose weight.

One of my favourite coffee shops insists on using Bonsoy for their dairy-free drinks and it's easy to see why. A great tasting soya drink and a constant feature in my house.

This Bonsoy soya drink is one of my favourites. I use it in baking and for my porridge at breakfast. I can even take it in my tea which can't be said of many soya drinks.

I use this soy milk for hot chocolates, porridge and pancakes, really handy stuff for people avoiding dairy.

Gluten Free Beetroot Buckwheat Crepes Recipe

Summary: Buckwheat is actually not related to wheat at all, it is actually a seed from the same family as rhubarb. Buckwheat is naturally gluten-free, and it is a source of complete protein, as it contains all 9 essential amino acids. Traditional Galettes de Sarrasin as they are called in Brittany, France, are savoury crepes made with just 3 ingredients : wholemeal buckwheat flour, water and salt. Some less traditional recipes call for the inclusion of some wheat flour, milk, or half milk - half water, or even the addition of an egg to make the batter easier to work with. Here I stay close to the tradition by using buckwheat flour only, which makes the crepes gluten-free. You could use vegan milk of your choice for softer crepes. I also add a little beetroot powder for a pretty pink colour. Serve with strawberry, raspberry or mixed berry jam or compote to maximise the pink factor.
