About Organic Green Pepper Padron

Padrón peppers are small green peppers 2-4 inches (5-10 cm) long, traditionally grown in Padrón, Galicia (northwest Spain). They are bright green to yellow-green in colour, with an intense flavour. They are in season from May through September, and it seems that the peppers that ripen later in the harvest are more likely to be hot. The Spanish enjoy eating the Padrón peppers as a tapa, simply fried in olive oil and sprinkled with salt.

I bought some from real foods today, they were all extremely hot! I  eat these all the time and have had the occasional spicy one (a treat for me as a spicy food fan) but these were all crazy hot! Wasn't able to enjoy them as a tapas sadly but will figure out what to do with the rest, I think they'd go nicely in a chilli.
