Thursday Cottage use whole fruit to make their traditional range of jams. Cooked in small open pans the fruits are quickly cooked to retain their full flavour.
Each pan is stirred repeatedly by hand with a wooden spoon and it takes a keen eye and many years' of experience to spot exactly the right moment of consistency to ensure correct setting.
It is this experience and judgment which differentiates Thursday Cottage preserves from mass-produced ones. The same sort of personal observation ensures that the highest standards of quality control are kept over the product from start to finish.
Thursday Cottage is not just a cosy, made-up name on a jam-pot - it's a real cottage where our delicious range of jams, marmalades and curds were first produced.
Likewise all Thursday Cottage preserves are real products, just like your mother or grandmother made at home - full of fruit and natural flavours but with no harmful additives or any of the chemical preservatives that can be found in mass produced products.
