Vegan Naturally Sweetened Turmeric Rice Milk Recipe

Turmeric really is a superfood ! It is anti-inflamatory, anti-oxidant, improves brain function, heartburn (dyspepsia) conditions, bloating, reduces the risk of heart disease, prevents cancer, Alzheimer's disease, improves arthritis, depression and delays ageing and age-realated diseases, amongst many other health benefits. In India, it is eaten everyday, as turmeric is generally included in curry spice mixtures. This turmeric rice milk is an easy and convenient way to regularly include fresh turmeric root in your diet. Naturally sweet and delicious, too !

about 1 inch or 2,5cm piece fresh turmeric root More products

Method

  • Simply blend the rice milk and turmeric root on high until the turmeric is completely broken down. Then strain through a very fine sieve, a nut milk bag or a piece of cheese cloth before serving.
  • Enjoy cold, at room temperature or gently reheated.
