Raw Vegan 3 Minute Fig Jam No Added Sugar Recipe

Fig jam is absolutely delicious on toast, or served with cheese, especially goat's and blue cheeses. Traditionally, fresh or dried figs are cooked with water and sugar; but I find such fig jams way too sweet. Dried figs are so sweet and tasty already, making this quicker and healthier alternative such a good idea.

You will need

IngredientAdd
100g ready-to-eat (moist) dried figs OR More products
75g dry Lerida figs, soaked for at least a couple of hours beforehand and drained More products
about 1/4 cup or 60ml filtered water or fig soak water
1/4 tsp ground allspice, optional More products

Method

  • Simply process the figs in your food processor, adding a little water at a time, until you reach a compote consistency. Add the allspice, if using, and mix well.
