Vilgain Plant Based Protein features a high-quality amino acid profile from peas and brown rice. Plant proteins do not have a complete amino acid spectrum on their own. Pea protein is low in methionine but rich in lysine, while brown rice protein is the opposite. Even with a fine-tuned 5:1 ratio of peas to rice, the protein was still lacking methionine, so we added this essential amino acid. The result is a protein with an optimal combination of proteins for muscle growth and maintenance.
