Pinot Grigio Boira IGT Veneto
From San Polo de Piave in the heart of the Trevisio countryside, inland from Venice, comes this rather gentle, understated Pinot Grigio. The vineyards are in a natural depression 4 metres below the surrounding farmlands offering plentiful water and richer soils. The wine is a strong yellow straw colour and the bouquet unmistakeable and immediate with hints of acacia flowers. On the palate it's dry, on the one hand fairly full-bodied yet delicately flavoured, and notably well-balanced. The latest appealing addition to our growing Italian range from master wine-maker Carlo Volpi.
