Galia Melons are similar in appearance on the outside to a cantaloupe, and on the inside they resemble a honeydew melon. They taste somewhat similar to honeydew, they're sweet and very popular for using in desserts. Galia melons are high in vitamins A and C, carotenoids, bioflavonoids, various minerals, like potassium, calcium, and iron, and also contain significant levels of dietary fibre, including pectin.
Left at room temperature, Galias keep well, but after cutting, uneaten pieces should be wrapped and refrigerated to preserve taste.
