About Organic Butternut Squash

Butternut is a type of winter squash. It has a sweet, nutty taste similar to that of a pumpkin. It has yellow skin and orange fleshy pulp. When ripe, it turns increasingly deep orange, and becomes sweeter and richer.

Butternut Squash is very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. It is also a good source of Dietary Fibre, Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol), thiamine, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Calcium and Magnesium, and a very good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Potassium and Manganese.

Sophie Scott Roasted butternut squash and onion soup is one of the nicest signs of approaching winter that I can think of.
