About Nutmegs Ground

Nutmeg has a slightly sweet taste and makes a wonderful addition to cheese sauces. It is used often in Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines as well.

Ground nutmeg is the oily powder produced by grinding whole nutmegs.

The hardness and oil content of nutmeg mean it is not particularly easy to grind in the domestic situation so pre-ground nutmeg provides a convenient alternative to whole nutmeg.

Gluten Free Baby Rice And Spinach Puree Recipe

Summary: A smart way to feed your baby is to feed her or him the same things the rest of the family eats as much as possible : let's say it's a tofu casserole with brown rice and wilted spinach for everyone, just blend a little cooked brown rice and spinach together for your baby. As always for baby food, choose organic ingredients ideally, and put the baby's food aside before adding any salt or sugar (if you do), as no baby needs those. Adjust quantities according to baby's age and appetite, or if you want, make a few portions and freeze.

Elizabeth Eames I love the flavour of nutmeg. My favourite way of getting my nutmeg hit is to spinckle it liberally on my baked egg custards before puttin them in the oven - I find a good coating of nutmeg allows me to reduce the sugar content of the agg mixture without compromising the taste.
