Apple Sauce

This is a classic. Can be used as a sauce or as sweetener.

4 apples, roughly chopped

1 cup or 250ml water
4 tbsp or 50g sugar Available only in our Edinburgh shops More products
1 tbsp cinnamon More products

Method

  • Put all ingredients in a saucepan and cook on medium heat until the apples are soft.
  • Set aside to cool a little, then mash using a potato masher for example.
  • The apple sauce will keep for up to a week in the fridge.
