About Fife Cut Handmade Oatcakes
Your Piece Baking Company use the same recipe as with our traditional hand made oatcakes, that is to say individually hand crafted from the finest local ingredients. The 'Fife Cut' refers to the classic triangular shape used by generations of Fife bakers. They are rugged, handsome and versatile. They fit snugly into a sporran with a hunk of cheese and an apple : 'Your Piece' on a match day!
Fresh and crumbly with a delicate oaty flavour these guys are delicious with robust, moist cheese. Try them with a spoon of mature Epoisse and a slice of quince jelly. Equally they are great with pickled herring or you could wedge a couple in your stovies. Sensational!
They're also VERY delicate, so unless you like your oatcakes crumbled, you're better off picking these up in store. We cannot issue refunds if this product arrives broken.
