Fruit and veg are a vital source of vitamins and minerals, so it`s important you eat at least 5 portions everyday.

Almost all fruit and vegetables count towards your 5 A DAY. Fresh, frozen, chilled, canned, 100% juice and smoothies all count, as do dried fruit and vegetables.
Remember though that fruit juice and dried fruit only count as one portion no matter how much you drink or eat.
Potatoes and other related vegetables such as yams and cassava do not count.
One portion is equivalent to 80g of fruit or vegetables, roughly one handful.
