How to Use Red Glace Cherries Natural Colour Whole

Red glace cherries are ready to use straight from the pack - simply fold into cake batters, fruit breads, muffins, cookies and scones for pockets of sweet cherry flavour. They're perfect as a decorative topping on puddings, cupcakes and fruit cakes, and work beautifully with chocolate, nuts and citrus in festive bakes. Glace cherries can also be added to trail mixes or used to garnish cheeseboards and desserts.

Nutritional Benefits

Glace cherries are a sweet treat infused with sugar - while they don't offer the same nutrient profile as fresh fruit, they provide quick energy and classic flavour for baking and desserts. Enjoy them in moderation as part of a varied diet and creative cooking.

Customer reviews

These cherries are natural (not artificially made bright red) and really, really tasty. They come in slightly different packaging to the normal Real Foods produce - in a tub - which I guess isn't quite as good for the environment, but I suppose there's no other way of transporting them as they're more squishy. I love these cherries though - especially keeping a tub in the cupboard around Christmas for a treat.

By Yvonne Reid on 28/05/2024

These are naturally coloured cherries, not the chemical variety that makes them bright red. Absolutely essential for Christmas cakes and all sort of fruit cakes.

By Jonathan Walton on 02/10/2013

These glace cherries are delicious – a very pure flavour and 46.5g of sugar per 100g – most other brands are 60g plus.
