About Organic Orange

Juicy and sweet and renowned for their concentration of vitamin C, organic oranges make the perfect snack and add a special tang to many recipes; it is no wonder that they are one of the most popular fruits in the world. Oranges are an excellent source of vitamin C, a very good source of dietary fibre and a good source of B vitamins, vitamin A, calcium and potassium. Customer reviews

Reliably large and very fresh. I buy around 10 each week for juicing and they're always of good quality. Organic's important to me, partly for health and pesticide use, but mainly because I can use the zest from organic ones, which is brilliant for getting flavour into cooking and dressings.

Great tast, but dissapointed there are no seeds. Its becoming more and more rare to find fruits with seeds and this is very disturbing. How can a fruit without seeds reproduce itself, without manipulation.

As a sceptic I did not think an organic orange would be any different from a non-organic one. How wrong can you be?

Real Foods Vintage Christmas Cake Recipe

Summary: This is our Vintage Christmas Cake recipe, that we used to give out to customers in our stores in the late 70s. Many traditional Christmas cake recipes recommend maturing the cake over 2-3 months, and this one is no exception, although the cake is delicious to eat right away as well. But many recipes are made with a whole host of ingredients that modern bakers today can’t use, be it for health or ethical reasons, such as wheat (containing gluten), or dairy. Our vintage Real Foods recipe allows you to cater for a modern world full of food intolerances and ethical choices that weren’t so prevalent even just a decade ago. Don't just follow this recipe ... Be adventurous and creative ... use coconut, chestnut flour, cashews, hazels, pecans, sunflower or sesame seeds, apple rings or peaches or pears ... just remember to keep proportions of dry goods and liquids correct, and do share your favourite variation with us. HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY HOGMANAY

Orange, Almond and Semolina Cake Recipe

Summary: It doesn't get any easier than this delicious, one-bowl Orange, Almond and Semolina Cake. Grate the orange zest, juice the oranges, then mix everything together, and bake. You could make a proper syrup by bringing the orange juice and zest to the boil along with 2 tablespoons of sugar, but the orange juice works just as well, it is easier and quicker, and it is that little less sugar.
