Baking Sweet

You will need

100g porridge oats More products
135g flour More products
100g xylitol, a natural sweetener

Awaiting stock

1 tsp ground ginger More products
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda More products
110g coconut butter OR More products
110g coconut oil More products
1 tbsp golden syrup More products

Method

  • Mix together flour, oats and ginger, add to a mixing bowl.
  • Make a well in the centre.
  • Melt the coconut butter and syrup together and pour into the well
  • Do not mix yet.
  • In a cup, dissolve the bicarbonate of  soda with a dash of boiling water and add to the butter and syrup mixture.
  • Let the mixture foam up then mix everything together.
  • Roll small handfuls of the mixture, press down to make biscuit shapes and place on a greased baking tray.
  • Adding more oats if the mixture is very sticky.
  • Heat the oven to 180 deg cel and bake for 30 mins.
