Summary: What is a Spoothie or Smoothie Bowl? It is a Smoothie that you pour into a bowl and eat with a spoon. Try this Raw Vegan Spinach and Chocolate number. Who thought chocolate and spinach could go so well together ? I certainly didn't !
This awesome recipe was created one chilly morning when I was in the mood for something treat-y and delicious (chocolate), but also something healthy and green (spinach). I decided to try combining the two, and I am so glad I did : this raw vegan breakfast smoothie bowl is green, yet the combination of chocolate, carob and spinach is amazingly tasty. If you don't have any raw carob, just leave it out, or use extra cacao powder.
Try it for yourself, I guarantee you will be happy you did !

Summary: It doesn't get any easier. Whip up this tasty raw vegan chocolate sauce in minutes from 3 main ingredients : coconut oil, cacao powder and a sweetener of your choice. The vanilla and the salt are optional, but they do lift and round up the flavours beautifully.
Whether you eat it straight from the spoon, use it as an icing on a raw cake or to coat raw truffles, as a dip for fruits (chopped pear and banana work exceptionally well for a chocolate fondue) ..., this chocolate wonder will make everything a little more delicious.
I like to pour it over banana and mixed berries raw vegan ice cream, for the best breakfast (yes, ice cream for breakfast) in the world ! When poured on the cold ice cream, the chocolate sauce sets, delivering delightful chocolate snaps.

Summary: Chia Pudding usually calls for soaking the chia seeds in a flavoured liquid (such as almond milk, coconut milk or your favourite homemade dairy free milk substitute) and letting the seeds soak the liquid for anything from an hour to overnight. As the seeds soak up the liquid, each individual seed gets surrounded by a jelly-like bubble, and the resulting chia pudding has a texture resembling that of tapioca pudding, or frog spawn. Chia seeds are a very popular superfood, particularly due to their high Omega 3 content ; they are also very high in fibre and chia pudding is an ideal breakfast, as it keeps one full until lunch. If you are not keen on the texture, you can still enjoy the benefits of adding chia puddings to your diet, by simply blending them until smooth.
This super simple recipe is a great example of a smooth chia pudding for a high energy breakfast, naturally sweetened by the bananas. It would also make a lovely dessert or snack for adults and children alike.
