Vilgain Energy Gel combines three types of simple carbohydrates for maximum usability, electrolytes in a highly absorbable citrate form, and a pure formula with no artificial sweeteners or preservatives.

Glucose is absorbed into the bloodstream via the GLUT5 carrier [1]. However, if this carrier is busy, the body cannot release more glucose into the blood. That?s why this gel also contains dextrose, matcha, and lemon concentrate, which use the alternative transporter GLUT2 and thus bypass the GLUT5 blockage. We add high-quality sources of carbohydrate from organic farming to the gel.
