About Organic Caster Sugar

Is it good for you?

Even our organic caster sugar can't really be said to be good for you! However, it does have its uses and can be great if you need a quick, if short lived, energy boost.

Caster sugar should be used sparingly in a healthy diet.

What can it be used for?

Lots of baking recipes call for caster sugar as it is made up of very fine granules and can be easily incorporated into cake mixtures, creams and sorbets.

It dissolves quickly, making it perfect for iced drinks.

For a treat it can also be sprinkled on fresh fruit.

How do you store it?

Store caster sugar in an airtight container in a cool dark place. It should last indefinitely if stored correctly.

What is a serving size?

A serving size of caster sugar is 4gm

If baking with caster sugar you should follow the quantity recommended in the recipe

Customer reviews

I think there are some super recipes on this site and it is so good to be able to buy the ingredients you need at the same time as finding the recipe. I prefer the sugar free baking, but there are times when you feel you just must have some sugar and this is a great castor sugar to use.
