Ingredients: 1 block firm tofu, diced into bite-sized cubes; 2 large red onions, finely chopped; 2 tbsp olive oil OR; 2 tbsp rapeseed oil; half cup or about 125ml vegan barbecue sauce; half cup or about 125ml water; 2 tbsp soy sauce; 1 tbsp or more hot chilli sauce; 2 tbsp granulated sugar

This is a super easy BBQ flavoured tofu stir-fry.

Method

Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the chopped onions. Saute until the onion becomes translucent.
Add the tofu cubes and saute on medium until the tofu starts to turn a light golden colour.
In a medium sized bowl, combine all the other ingredients. Add this sauce on the tofu.
Continue to cook on medium until the sauce has thickened.
Serve with brown rice, quinoa or a side dish of your choice.
