About Pearled Barley Flakes
Pearled Barley Flakes are made by rolling hulled pearled barley. Often used as an ingredient in baked goods such as bread, muffins and cookies. Try mixing it 50:50 with oatmeal for a hot breakfast (minute and a half in the microwave) use 2 to 3 times as much water as flakes and oatmeal until you find your ideal level. Or use a little bit in pancakes! Barley flakes are a good source of fibre.
Customer reviews
I have been making pancakes with porridge oats blitzed in a food processor for years. Adding even just a handful of these barley flakes before blitzing gives a lovely extra depth to their flavour.
