About Sea Salt Fine Vegan

This specially selected Atlantic sea salt is light grey in colour and harvested manually from clay pans using traditional methods handed down over many generations. As these methods involve no washing, refining or additives of any kind, this salt contains all its natural minerals and trace elements, and has a naturally low lead content. The salt is harvested from June to September, after drying out in the wind and sun through the long summer months.

Gluten Free Beetroot Buckwheat Crepes Recipe

Summary: Buckwheat is actually not related to wheat at all, it is actually a seed from the same family as rhubarb. Buckwheat is naturally gluten-free, and it is a source of complete protein, as it contains all 9 essential amino acids. Traditional Galettes de Sarrasin as they are called in Brittany, France, are savoury crepes made with just 3 ingredients : wholemeal buckwheat flour, water and salt. Some less traditional recipes call for the inclusion of some wheat flour, milk, or half milk - half water, or even the addition of an egg to make the batter easier to work with. Here I stay close to the tradition by using buckwheat flour only, which makes the crepes gluten-free. You could use vegan milk of your choice for softer crepes. I also add a little beetroot powder for a pretty pink colour. Serve with strawberry, raspberry or mixed berry jam or compote to maximise the pink factor.

Raw Vegan Indian Sprouted Mung Bean Salad Recipe

Summary: Sprouts truly are a powerhouse of nutrition, as the nutritional content is exponentially multiplied when you sprout a seed or a grain. Mung beans (also spelled Moong Beans) are one of the easiest to sprout, so this Raw Vegan Sprouted Mung Bean Salad is a great place to start to include more sprouts in your diet. This salad is very popular in India, where is it eaten raw or stir fried in a little oil. Serve on its own for a healthy savoury snack, or as a side dish for an Indian curry.
