About Split Dried Fava Beans

Split dried fava beans are easy to cook and don't need soaking - the beans cook from dry in about 30 minutes and become softer and softer the longer they're cooked.

These beans have had their skin removed and the bean is split, making it very easy to cook and giving a smoother texture. They're perfect for soups, dal, stews, falafel and dips.

Split fava beans are the main ingredient in Egyptian-style falafels and Moroccan besara.

Grown in Britain since the Iron Age, fava beans are delicious, nutritious and good for the soil.
